GCC Chief Reaffirms Strong Partnerships with Mediterranean Nations at Dubrovnik Forum

DUBROVNIK GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi emphasized the significance of deepening strategic partnerships between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Mediterranean countries to strengthen regional security, stability, and shared prosperity.

Speaking during a high-level panel at the Dubrovnik Forum 2025, held in Croatia from July 11–12, Al-Budaiwi highlighted the vital role of GCC partnerships with Mediterranean countries in supporting long-term development and regional cooperation.

He noted that the GCC’s strategic geographical position, growing economic influence, and commitment to global energy security make it a reliable partner in fostering regional and international collaboration.

According to remarks reported by KUNA, Al-Budaiwi said these factors enable the GCC to contribute meaningfully to peace-building and sustainable growth in the Mediterranean region and beyond.

He further reiterated the GCC’s desire to enhance cooperation with both regional and global stakeholders in order to promote mutual interests and reinforce international stability.
