GCC Chief Reaffirms Strong Partnerships with Mediterranean Nations at Dubrovnik Forum

DUBROVNIK GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi emphasized the significance of deepening strategic partnerships between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Mediterranean countries to strengthen regional security, stability, and shared prosperity.

Speaking during a high-level panel at the Dubrovnik Forum 2025, held in Croatia from July 11โ€“12, Al-Budaiwi highlighted the vital role of GCC partnerships with Mediterranean countries in supporting long-term development and regional cooperation.

He noted that the GCCโ€™s strategic geographical position, growing economic influence, and commitment to global energy security make it a reliable partner in fostering regional and international collaboration.

According to remarks reported by KUNA, Al-Budaiwi said these factors enable the GCC to contribute meaningfully to peace-building and sustainable growth in the Mediterranean region and beyond.

He further reiterated the GCCโ€™s desire to enhance cooperation with both regional and global stakeholders in order to promote mutual interests and reinforce international stability.
