Inaugural week of Arab Podcast Programme showcases rising regional voices

Dubai Press Club’s Arab Podcast Programme Empowers New Generation of Content Creators

DUBAI – The Dubai Press Club has launched the second edition of its Arab Podcast Programme, a dedicated initiative to equip aspiring Arab content creators with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the booming world of podcasting.

Kicking off on July 7, the five-week training is being held at the Dubai Press Club and led by Charbel Issa, a certified trainer from Podeo—one of the region’s leading podcasting platforms. The Arab Podcast Programme blends theory with hands-on modules, covering every step of podcast creation—from concept and branding to production, editing, and distribution.

In its inaugural week, the programme welcomed young men and women from across the Arab world. Participants were introduced to eight intensive training modules that covered storytelling, audience analysis, technical recording skills, and global best practices. The sessions are designed to give a solid foundation while empowering participants to develop their own podcast ideas.

Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club, highlighted the strong enthusiasm shown by participants. “We’re seeing how eager young Arabs are to share their voices and tell their stories,” she said. “The Arab Podcast Programme not only builds essential skills but also offers mentorship and support from leading industry professionals.”

The initiative reflects the Dubai Press Club’s broader commitment to digital innovation and promoting Arabic-language media. It also aims to elevate the visibility of Arab voices in the global podcasting space.

Stefano Fallaha, CEO of Podeo, praised the programme as a major step forward in expanding Arabic podcasting. “This initiative helps bridge the gap between raw talent and market-ready content. It gives creators the confidence to launch meaningful, high-quality Arabic podcasts.”

As the second week begins, participants will pitch their original podcast concepts, receive personalized feedback, and take part in focused sessions led by experts from Podcast Pro, The Direction Podcast, and the Dubai Press Club itself.

With each edition, the Arab Podcast Programme strengthens Dubai’s role as a regional media hub and continues to open new doors for Arab youth in the digital media landscape.
