Saudi Arabia Opens First Official Arts and Culture Academy for Young Talents

RIYADH – In a historic move towards cultural learning, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Education jointly opened the Kingdom’s first public Arts and Culture Academy. The project is to find and develop young talents in the creative arts, as per the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Scheduled to begin operation in the 2025/2026 school year, the academy will begin operation in Riyadh and Jeddah, taking male students in Al-Nakheel district (Riyadh) and female students in Al-Sheraa district (Jeddah). The first phase of the academy will take students enrolling in the fourth grade of elementary school and the first grade of intermediate school.

The academy combines the national curriculum of studies with specialized programs in culture, providing a rich and holistic learning experience. The school day will be divided into two sessions: morning for studying academic subjects, and afternoon for cultural activities such as drawing, acting, music, and singing.

Three stages of admission will be followed:

Online registration

Performance test and interview

Admission confirmation depending on seat availability

Prospective students can apply through the official website: engage.moc.gov.sa/cultural-talents-schools/#faq

The program is in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which calls for the strength of culture as a support to national development and aims to empower youth through innovative and creative education.
