Riyadh, 2 August 2025, — Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi received Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) Secretary-General Deemah AlYahya on Saturday in Riyadh to review partnership projects and strengthen relations in the areas of technology and digital transformation.
At the meeting, the two leaders discussed draft GCC-DCO projects to speed up regional digital integration and innovation. Secretary-General Albudaiwi highlighted the GCC’s resolve to coordinate efforts with regional and international entities to attain a common digital goal.
He reiterated the commitment of the GCC General Secretariat to consolidating regional strategies in support of digital development as well as broadening cooperation in developing sectors of emerging technologies.
The conversation also articulated the shared passion for using digital instruments for sustainable development and increasing the region’s global competitiveness in the digital economy.
