Mohammed bin Rashid Launches New Phase to Drive ‘We the UAE 2031

Sheikh Mohammed Launches New Planning Cycle to Drive ‘We the UAE 2031’ Vision Forward

DUBAI His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has launched a new cycle of strategic planning to ensure that the country drives its progress toward the realization of its ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision at an accelerated pace.

The newly introduced framework prioritizes the use of artificial intelligence (AI), simplified governance, and optimized resource utilization to keep the UAE adaptive, competitive, and future-proof.

Sheikh Mohammed reiterated the need for relentless innovation and futuristic strategies, requesting that all federal government departments take up wiser, quicker, and more agile measures. He requested them to utilize contemporary technologies and AI to assist in achieving the country’s long-term objectives.

A total of 38 government agencies will apply the new planning model, which is centered on:

Leveraging AI and big data to inform decision-making

Streamlining processes and expediting implementation

Enhancing efficiency and utilization of resources

Converting national strategies into effective projects

To facilitate this shift, a special workshop was organized for strategic leaders from ministries. The workshop unveiled a compressed three-year planning cycle compared to the earlier five-year framework in order to facilitate faster responses to international developments and changing priorities.

Attendees also discussed means of translating national efforts into quantifiable achievements, such as the National Cybersecurity Strategy and the National Investment Strategy.

Huda Al Hashimi, the Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, emphasized how this nimble approach to governance will serve to enhance the UAE’s resilience and sustainability during the years to come.
