Riyadh’s Second Event Tech Meetup 2025 Brings Startups to Investors, Highlights Latest Innovations
RIYADH — Riyadh’s second Event Tech Meetup 2025, held at Bayt Al-Thaqafa Al-Ta’awun Public Library on Aug. 10–11, gathered entrepreneurs, innovators, and investors from Saudi Arabia’s public and private sectors to highlight the Kingdom’s burgeoning events technology sector.
Hosted by the National Events Center, the two-day event included specialized workshops, brainstorming sessions, live demonstrations, and networking. The highlight of the event was EventTech Tank, where startup founders presented their projects to a panel of potential investors.
Lojain Al-Harbi, founder and CEO of Dulani, expressed her excitement after months of preparation: “Seeing the results of our work in front of investors is an entirely different experience. We’re grateful for this opportunity.”
For Abdulaziz Al-Subaei, founder of Jawlat, the event provided vital exposure: “This is truly an excellent opportunity, especially since we’ve not had much investor interest before.” Abdullah Al-Hajji, CEO of Eventify, revealed that his participation resulted in securing an investment, calling it “an incredible outcome.”
The inaugural program highlighted such innovations as the National Events Center’s “SKIP Q” solution, aimed at optimizing event entry and reducing wait times, and the Ministry of Tourism’s “Decisions Made in the Moment” platform, employing real-time analysis in guiding tourism policies.
Two panel sessions delved into the disruptive ability of AI in the events industry. The first, “How Artificial Intelligence Shapes the Future of Events in the Kingdom,” examined how AI can reduce expenditure and enhance operations. The second, “Data Drives the Event Scene,” centered on making analytics actionable insights.
The gathering is one component of Event Tech 2025, a project to accelerate digital transformation in Saudi Arabia’s event industry, encourage entrepreneurship, and enable the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives.
