Saudi Arabia Issues 83 New Industrial Licenses in June, Driving Over $253 Million in Investments
RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced the issuance of 83 new industrial licenses in June, bringing in more than SR950 million ($253.3 million) in investments. The licenses are projected to create over 1,188 new jobs across various regions of the Kingdom, reflecting the country’s continued push to expand and diversify its industrial sector.
In its monthly report, the National Center for Industrial and Mining Information also noted that 58 new factories began operations during the same month. These newly operational facilities represent a combined investment of SR1.9 billion ($506.6 million) and are expected to generate approximately 2,007 jobs.
The data reflects steady momentum in the growth of Saudi Arabia’s manufacturing sector, aligning with the goals of Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the national economy beyond oil dependency by promoting local industry, technology, and innovation.
The Ministry continues to track and publish key industrial performance indicators such as license issuance, factory activations, and capital inflows through the National Center. This transparency supports investor confidence and illustrates the ongoing industrial transformation across the Kingdom.
Saudi Arabia’s expanding industrial ecosystem signals robust economic reform and positions the Kingdom as an increasingly attractive hub for manufacturing and industrial investment in the region.
