Saudi Arabia Set to Launch Cultural Week in Osaka

Saudi Arabia to Hold Cultural Week in Osaka as Part of Expo 2025

Osaka Saudi Arabia is set to hold a cultural week in Osaka from July 12 to 15, highlighting its art, crafts, and heritage as part of the ongoing Expo 2025.

The event will take place at Expo Gallery EAST and comes as the Kingdom and Japan mark 70 years of diplomatic ties.

On display will be traditional artworks, live Arabic calligraphy, and archival photographs that show the long history of exchange between the two countries. Several Saudi cultural bodies, including the Heritage Commission and the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts, are contributing to the program.

The cultural week is part of a broader lineup of over 700 events planned at the Saudi pavilion throughout the Expo’s run.

Organizers say the goal is to offer Japanese visitors and others a closer look at Saudi traditions and build on cultural cooperation between the two nations.
