Saudi Students Shine with Gold and Two Silvers at 20th International Standards Olympiad in Korea
Riyadh, August 14, 2025, – The Saudi national team achieved an impressive victory at the 20th International Standards Olympiad in Korea, bringing home one gold medal and two silver medals. The competition, held from August 12 to 14, saw participation from 40 teams representing countries around the globe.
This year’s achievement marks a major leap from the Kingdom’s debut performance last year, when the team earned a bronze medal and a certificate of appreciation. The results highlight the growing capabilities of Saudi students in international arenas and reflect the nation’s dedication to fostering a culture of quality and excellence among its youth.
The Kingdom’s four student teams, drawn from both intermediate and secondary school levels, underwent rigorous preparation through specialized training and qualification programs. These efforts were made possible through a strategic partnership between the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), the Ministry of Education, and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization.
The medals not only celebrate individual talent and dedication but also underscore Saudi Arabia’s broader vision to empower its youth to excel on the global stage.
