UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Accorded Official Welcome by Hungary’s President

BUDAPEST — UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was received with great warmth during his official visit to Hungary, with a grand welcome at the Hungarian Parliament Building in Budapest. He was greeted by Hungarian President His Excellency Tamás Sulyok, who received him in a formal ceremony at Kossuth Lajos Square.

The formal ceremony included the national anthems of the two nations, a horse-ride escort for the presidential motorcade, and inspection of the guard of honour by His Highness. Senior Hungarian government ministers and officials also attended to greet the UAE delegation.

Along with the President was a high-ranking UAE delegation comprising H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Supreme Council for National Security Secretary-General; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; and Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Foreign Trade Minister.

Other members of the delegation were Sana bint Mohammed Suhail, Family Minister; Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, State Minister; Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Cabinet of the UAE; Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Ali Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs; Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs; and Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority.

Saud Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador in Hungary, also attended the delegation.

The visit highlighted the significance of UAE-Hungary relations through high-level diplomatic exchange and cultural diplomacy, an indication of the commitment of both countries to deepen cooperation in many areas.
