UAE President Welcomes Syrian President to Abu Dhabi

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Hosts Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan hosted Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa on Thursday when he officially visited the UAE.

The two heads of state convened at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, where they ratified the depth of relations between the UAE and Syria and explored avenues to deepen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of development and economic growth with a perspective towards the welfare of their citizens.

The two presidents also exchanged views on the pressing regional developments, emphasizing peace, stability, and security across the Middle East. They both reiterated that securing the region and making it prosperous is vital to the welfare of all of its citizens.

Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE’s unshakeable support for Syria and the Syrian people, hoping the nation continues to evolve towards a future of stability and prosperity.

He expressed appreciation to President Al-Sharaa for the UAE’s enduring support and humanitarian aid. He commended the long-standing and strong relations between the two nations and emphasized his warmest wishes for the UAE to keep developing and flourishing.

Several top-ranking officials and ministers from the two countries attended the discussions, including UAE government counselors and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani.

President Al-Sharaa had arrived at Abu Dhabi earlier during the day and was received at Al Bateen Airport by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Affairs Minister, and other senior UAE officials.
