World Robot Conference 2025 Debuts Over 100 New Robotics Innovations in Beijing
Beijing, August 8, 2025 – The World Robot Conference (WRC) 2025 opened in Beijing on Friday, debuting more than 100 new robotics products, nearly double those that debuted last year.
Held through Tuesday in the Beijing Economic Technological Development Area, also known as Beijing E-Town, the conference has the theme “Making Robots Smarter, Making Embodied Agents More Intelligent.”
The event brings together some 200 robotics companies from across the globe, with over 1,500 exhibits on display, from agile quadruped robots and robotic lawn mowers to advanced rescue and inspection robots. Next-generation humanoid robots are one of the highlights, with 50 manufacturers launching their latest offerings.
More than 400 participants — leading scientists, industry experts, international organisation representatives, and entrepreneurs — are attending forums, exhibitions, competitions, and networking sessions. More than 20 thematic forums will discuss industry trends, technological innovations, and applications, and 31 side events will facilitate international cooperation, accelerate breakthroughs, and foster industrial talent.
China produced 556,000 industrial robots in 2024 and filed two-thirds of the world’s robot patent applications, further cementing its status as the world’s robotics manufacturing leader.
