Saudi Arabia Tops Global Cybersecurity Rankings, Further Consolidates Role in Digital Innovation
Saudi Arabia has once more topped global cybersecurity rankings, as revealed by the 2025 IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook. The ranking shows the Kingdom’s growing reputation as a global leader in digital security.
This recognition is immediately aligned with Saudi Arabia’s national digital transformation, one of the main initiatives led by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Authorities credit a clear, long-term cybersecurity strategy for helping to protect critical infrastructure as well as keep the country’s goals at the forefront of technology and innovation.
This achievement, the United Nations’ International Telecommunication Union has classified Saudi Arabia as a Tier 1 “role-modeling” nation in its 2024 Global Cybersecurity Index. This adds to the Kingdom’s leadership status worldwide.
At the focal point of Saudi cybersecurity efforts stands the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA). The NCA works together with the Saudi Information Technology Company to formulate technical solutions, guide strategy, and keep the Kingdom’s digital infrastructure safe and forward-looking.
